Under the sea...

This design is perfect when you haven't got much time to spare to give your nails a make-over! It can be done within 30 minutes (plus drying time) but still looks beautiful, elegant and.... everyone knows that glitter always looks spectacular.

For this design I used Barry M's Basecoat and Nail hardener as a base, and followed this with a single coat of Barry M's Gelly Hi-Shine in Blueberry. This polish is very pigmented and has a silky consistency which gives a beautiful finish with just one application. I highly recommend the Gelly Hi-Shine range as all of the colours have are a breeze to apply and have a wonderfully shiny outcome in a single coat!

The glitter used was Aqua by Barry M (we do have an obsession). I used a non porous makeup sponge to dab on the glitter on the top third of my nail. I started with a small amount of polish on to achieve a slight gradient effect on to the Blueberry, and progressively increased the amount of glitter on the sponge to allow more polish on to the nail. At the tip of the nail, I simply applied the glitter with the brush to pack on the glitter and make it sparkle even more.

I finished it off with a top coat and obsessively stared at the glitter dancing in the light until they were dry. How poetic...

This design can be repeated with any colour combination you like. So if you have a spare hour, don't let it go to waste... Glitter on up!!!

Girly Night!

So, we had a Girly Night last night with all the Nailskeeters - Leah, Heather, Abbi and Me, Faye. It included much rose wine, pizza and of course Nail Varnish! Looking at our nail varnishes all together was pretty cool (Minus Abbi's im sure with hers it would have looked even Cooler!)

So after Faffing hugely about what i was going to do this weekend, i scrolled through my favourite blogs and found something to copy! I found this great design on Dressed Up Nails and thought it looked GREAT! So i kinda just copied that and then i went for a matte top coat (Matte About You, Essie) and there you have it!

The colours are all Barry M, the base is the Magnetic Nail Effects, Magnetic Dark Silver apparently (without the effects obvs). The squiggles colours are Shocking Pink Nail Paint, Pure Turquoise Nail Paint and A yellow Barry M Nail Paint that was pretty old and had a different shaped bottle! None of those were mine by the way, we all took advantage of each others collections and used something new!

Here's Abbi's Nails! Look how tiny her pinkie is!!! It was so hard to get a design on it!

For this one we used Barry M again (we are Obsessed) the Nail Effects Silver Foil and an Orange Nail Paint.
